There is a report from Switzerland today (14th May) that Pegasos has lost its appeal in the Solothurn Court and that VADs (Voluntary Assisted Deaths) in Roderis may have to be reduced or even curtailed.
This report, if true, will cause concern for the many visitors to this website who have reserved a VAD at Pegasos and already have an agreed date. Pegasos have, of course, now been contacted for a response but in the meantime, our own reaction is threefold.
First, Pegasos has retained its own VAD suite in Liestal and will be able to continue using that if necessary.
Second, the VAD building in Roderis is totally separate from the Hotel and Guest House.
Third, the figures quoted in the article for the number of the Pegasos VADs in 2025 are significantly below our own estimates.
